Welcome to transformative learning.
Transformative Learning (TL), housed in the Office for Student Success , is a centralized student support unit on campus, a student’s one-stop shop for on-campus academic resources.
Throughout the Wildcat journey, Transformative Learning is here to support every student by providing student-centered academic services. Whether they are seeking guidance on improving time management skills, feedback on a paper, or tutoring in a math class we are here to meet them at whatever stage they are at! Transformative Learning knows how challenging (and rewarding) college life can be, so we have built our programs and services to better equip students to meet those challenges and reach their goals.
Transformative Learning is a partner students will be able to count on as part of their Wildcat support team! We want to make sure all students have the tools they need to be successful.

6 Things You Didn’t Know About Presentation U
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 10, 2020) — Presentation U is the University of Kentucky’s centralized tutoring center for speaking, writing, visuals and all other forms of communication, providing students with a unique and individualized learning experience.
Presentation U supports UK’s efforts to graduate confident communicators by offering services to undergraduate students and graduate students. Although you may have heard of Presentation U, you may not know about all of the distinctive services they offer to students.
1. Presentation U offers iPad support
New to Presentation U are their iPad Peer Ambassadors. Ambassadors show students how to best utilize their iPads to help them succeed in their classes. Peer Ambassadors can show students how to use their iPad to take notes, follow along with lectures and assist students in using their device to put together videos and presentations.
2. Appointments and walk-ins are welcome
Students can make an appointment through the Presentation U website . Appointments secure the time and tutor that you prefer. Appointments made Monday through Friday happen only in the main location in the Hub at W.T. Young Library, whereas tutors are only available at The Study South (located in Woodland Glenn III) on Sundays.
Walk-ins are also available. Students can stop by either location to work with an available tutor. When attending a tutoring session, students should bring their student ID to check in and digital or physical projects, your professors' rubric and any other materials you may want to use.
3. Online, eTutoring through My WConline account is available
Another new resource available to students is the ability to schedule an eTutoring appointment, allowing students to speak with and work with a tutor remotely from the comfort of their own home. Students can schedule eTutoring through the Presentation U website. Online tutoring is also available. When scheduling an appointment, you can select the "online" option and upload your document or link to your project, and if applicable, a rubric to orient your tutor to the assignment. A tutor will then review your project and give feedback in the form of track comments and big-picture observations.
4. Presentation U offers support to students whose first language is not English
If English is not your first language, that’s okay. Tutors are equipped to help non-native English-speaking students. Tutors are available to listen to student speeches and help with drafting and editing writing materials.
5. Presentation U is student run
All tutors at Presentation U are students representing a diverse range of disciplines and backgrounds. Presentation U is always looking for new dedicated peer tutors. Students interested in being notified of a new hiring round can email [email protected] .
6. Tutors are CRLA Certified
All tutors are proficient employees who have received training approved by the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA).
